MICHAEL B. JUDKINS, FILMMAKER, POET AND CREATIVE GENIUS RISING

What if I told you that living without borders was another option when one chooses to live abundantly? In the charming case of the award-winning director, producer, and mental health care advocate, Michael B. Judkins, did just that. His company, October 14th, or Oct 14, is set on the path of humongous success. As an African American male, he finds the challenges of seeking funding sources are immense but doable. He remains an unsung hero and a trusted source of inspiration not because he goes unrecognized but because he chooses to stay hidden while pushing others to move forward. He holds an Associate of Science degree in journalism, a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, and a Master of Science in Mental Health Services. His undeniable reverence towards making sure that every single detail of filmmaking, writing, and poetic ventures remains intact is a ready-made guideline for others to someday follow. Formerly signed with AOIS 21 Media Publishing House, they published his, rightly titled, "Interlude to Sentimental Me" collection of poetry. The collection was later adapted to a Broadway play, of which he was noted with two sold-out performances in Bethlehem, PA. The idea for his quick-to-be-loved film, Lonely Girl, came from a conversation that he was having with his sister and her husband over the phone. One was on one line talking about their lives, and the other was on the other line talking to him as well. The film was highly acclaimed and gifted him with an enhanced sense of courage and the fortitude to continue to build upon the experience. He is big on technology, the positive things that it can do for us, and how it can make a difference in how we gather information and express our experiences. His talents cover such a broad level of intuitive awareness that creativity takes on a deeper meaning, binding the reader to his masterful use of words and wisdom. He blends creative expression with poetry, writing, filmmaking, and a firm understanding of mental health. Together their resonance holds the key to a small portion of who Michael, the man, really is. The In-depth Arts and Care Podcast delves deeply into the why, how, and the many layers of mental health and how art can rebuild, rekindle, and reset an individual’s inner and outer world. He believed in the world and its ability to regroup and repair hearts, mend souls, and give voice to those like himself, who are the new human AIs of the future. Being a Michael B. Judkins can’t always be easy but when it comes to being the best at creative excellence who would expect it to be.
